Pre-Treatment Instructions

Following these instructions helps ensure your session goes smoothly, your body responds well, and your tattoo heals beautifully. If you have any questions, reply to your confirmation email or contact Angelina directly.

FOOD & HYDRATION

  • Eat a full meal with protein and carbohydrates before your appointment. Do not come in on an empty stomach — low blood sugar increases discomfort and the risk of feeling faint during the session.

  • Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours before your appointment. Well-hydrated skin takes ink better and heals faster.

MEDICATIONS & SUBSTANCES

  • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment. Alcohol thins the blood, increases bleeding, and affects how well the skin holds ink.

  • Avoid blood-thinning over-the-counter medications — including aspirin and ibuprofen — for 24 to 48 hours before your session unless prescribed by a doctor. If you are on a prescribed blood thinner, consult your physician before your appointment.

  • Do NOT apply any numbing cream or topical anesthetic to the area. I don’t work with numbing cream — it affects skin texture and can compromise the quality of the tattoo. This is non-negotiable.

WHAT TO WEAR

  • Wear loose, comfortable, dark-colored clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed.

  • Avoid tight clothing over the tattoo site — you will leave with a bandage applied and tight fabric will irritate it.

REST & WELLBEING

  • Get a good night's sleep before your session. A rested body tolerates discomfort better and heals more efficiently.

  • Avoid intense physical activity the morning of your appointment. Arrive calm and relaxed.

DURING YOUR SESSION

  • Feel free to bring headphones, a book, a tablet, or anything that helps you relax during the session.

  • Let me know immediately if you feel lightheaded, nauseous, or uncomfortable at any point. It is normal to need a break.

QUESTIONS OR CHANGES

If anything changes last-minute — illness, injury near the tattoo site, or any other concern — please reach out before your appointment rather than arriving and hoping for the best. Reply to your confirmation email.
